We’re Scott & Russell. Yeah, we know the name needs a little work, but it’s a pretty accurate description of who we are: Scott Card and Russell Kniffin.

As a dynamic guitar duo, we fuse acoustic fingerstyle and electric harmonization to create a fresh, unique, and unclassifiable sound. We incorporate influences from various genres to create instrumental music that sounds great on your iPod as well as at your cocktail party. Listen for yourself.

As composers, we’ve scored both student and independent work. We’ve scored films in many genres from romantic comedies to action flicks, and the music is just as varied. See for yourself.

We’ve played together for more than seven years, developing our sound though endless hours of jamming, composing, playing cover tunes, performing, recording, working with other young musicians, and studying with mentor Chris McDermott.

At present we’re both students at Ithaca College School of Music on the performance track. We’re learning a lot, and writing A LOT of music. We perform as much as we can here in Ithaca, NY, and look forward to gigs in the hometown environs of Groton, MA, whenever we’re on break.
